IBM in India

So we had our first day of training yesterday (Monday). I wish we had an extra day to relax and catch up on some sleep before jumping right in to training on Monday. But, everything turned out OK. Shankar picked us up and the drive to the IBM office was about 30 minutes. There are 4 IBM offices in Bangalore and we are at the Subramanya Arcade which is one of the smaller buildings. We are in a complex with some other US-based companies and there are several large office complexes near by...Oracle, Accenture and Cisco to name a few. We are leading a training class of 22 students. We are slowly learning their names, but they all are very nice and have some interesting backgrounds. It will certainly be fun getting to know everyone during the next 5 1/2 weeks.

The first day of training ended with a drink at the hotel bar and dinner at the Chinese Restaurant at the hotel. Followed by some more training work outside by the hotel pool with a glass of wine! I can tell already that the training is going to be hard work and very draining . But, hopefully we will have plenty of time to enjoy ourselves too while we are here :)
